A little of this and that...
So many of you may not know this, but I could not see most of my blog for the last month. It was VERY distressing! Most of my images were blocked with the little red X showing. I finally figured it out and I am SO happy to finally have my blog back. I know it is a little silly posting that, but what can I say? So life has been a little hectic lately with the kiddos finishing up school and all the last minute activities. Morgen had his end of the year party for pre-school and he looked really cute in his little cap and gown. I will post the fun party pics later. Mariah reached above and beyond her accelerated reading goal and was the top reader in her class. She along with one other student in her class received a big ribbon at the school assembly. She was really close to getting a trophy. The top twelve out of the entire school got one and she was 14 I think. Anyways I am really proud of her. She is a lot like her momma that is for sure. Noah did great as well in reading although math is his strong point. We are all looking forward to camping and fishing and other fun activities this summer!

I am PATIENTLY waiting for the next season of Battlestar Galactica to come out!!! Call me whatever you like. I LOVE it! So say we all;)

We had an amazing time and I loved every minute of it. Yes even the bus packed with 60 roudy kids! We first went to the Idaho Historical Museum where we watched a Marionette show and she panned for gold. Then we went to the old Idaho Penitentiary where we learned neat stories of the prisoners. It was really a learning experience for the kids. I hope to take my family back there someday. I was grateful for the one on one time I was able to spend with Mariah. I think we were the only ones on the bus reading books. She gets more like me the older she gets. Now that's a scary thought. I really am proud of her. She is a sweet daughter. She kept waiting for me even when her friends were calling her. She did not want to leave me behind. I love you kiddo!!!

Stitches and more
Morgen, my all boy, Morgen! He is ALWAYS pushing trucks and cars around really fast. One time he even pushed a little dump truck all the way to the park (that's about a 25 min walk). My back just couldn't handle being bent over that long! Well he was doing the usual pushing it around and running thing. I don't know how he did it, but I imagine he kicked it into 4 wheel drive and he toppled over his little truck. He came in the house with blood dripping down his chin. Earlier in the morning Natty had managed to use all the band aids on her fingers that she bites raw! So we went over to our awesome neighbors, Dirk and Natalee, and Dirk was kind enough to bandage him up for me. I am no good when the cuts are so deep that you can see fat and tissue. YUCK! I also did not know if perhaps he had a rock in there or not. So we were off to the doctor...and in the end no rock...but 5 stitches. You would think that this is the end of the adventure but it's only getting exciting now. About 3 hours later I go to the store and come home to a bloody chin and 4 missing stitches! Yuck...wouldn't that hurt! I guess he didn't think that he needed them in. I made Todd take him this time. The nurse was pretty mad at us and said that this costs a lot of money and why would we let him do that. Lady...do you really think that we really LET him do it? That was really irritating! I was concerned about the shredded mess he made of his chin, not only the big gash, but now the 4 slits he created! So in the end the doc just put in 1 big one, which I think is good. I think he learned his lesson. He kept saying he was sorry. He's a rough boy, but he really has a tender little heart too.
We are addicted!
So I grew up in a Star Trek house. It was pretty much ALL we watched, and then there was Voyager, and Star Wars. So when our friends Mark and Cindy told us about this series I was excited! We are SO addicted to them it's not even funny. I had to raise my Netflix to two movies at a time just so we could have one at home and one on the way. We stay up and watch 4 episodes in one night! We just can't stop. THANKS CINDY, we have evolved!
Pain and Sweat oh yeah!
Aerobics KILLED me today to the point where I don't think I have a butt left. Well I guess that is the whole point right! I love PAIN and SWEAT!!! Now I get to burn more Calories with all my housework. It never really ends does it! You think I would be skinny by now! I am really looking forward to summertime and being able to be outside more. Oh and if anyone has any good book suggestions let me know. I am on the lookout again for some!
The Kiddos at Niagara Springs
We went down to Niagara Springs after church Easter Sunday for a picnic with some of Todd's family. It was really pretty down there this time of year...I only wish the camera had been working better. I need to adjust the lighting and I am not very good at knowing about that kind of stuff. Anyways we had a great time. The kids hiked around and we played kids games like Red Rover, Simon Says, Red light-Green Light. Mariah loved it because those games don't really get played these days. Not at school anyways. I will post other Easter pics later.
Grandma Kay and Morgen. Morgen thought he was cold so he cuddled right up with Grandma.
Great Grandma Melba and Mariah and Natty. Natty is pretty shy around Grandma but she was willing to be next to Mariah. We don't get to see this Grandma very often so this was a treat. She is a real sweet heart.
Noah and his cousin Luke were being adventurous! It's a miracle that neither of these boys got ticks on them. They went every where!

Morgen was very busy down here as well. We had to keep a GOOD eye on him to keep him out of the water. He got alot of his energy out that is for sure!
You know Mariah was the only one of our kids to get a tick and she did not go on any hikes. She just stayed with me in the grassy area. I think that she may have got it form the dog. Either way she was very scared. We did not find it for two days and it was on the back of her neck up in her hair. It felt like a scab! Now that we have took some off Todd, and the dog we are experts in tick removal! Mariah did not want us to even touch her. It was total drama...My wonderful neighbor came over and we tried to burn it off, and that did not work so well. Later I learned the safe way to do it. Regardless I took her to the doc because she trusted him. She lived and that is the end of the tick named Frankie.

My Fitness Ticker...The BIGGER the goal, the harder the climb, the sweeter the reward!
I was debating if I wanted to post this ticker here for all of you to see, but I think that it will help me to be more accountable.I am trying really hard to get into shape and although I have been slacking lately, I am still proud of my progress.
